Terms of Service
The terms you accept before buying an ImageGlass Pro license, covering orders, payment, delivery, refunds, support, and how the license may be used. These terms are subject to change at any time.
Last updated:
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the purchase of an ImageGlass Pro license, the use of ImageGlass Pro, and the use of this website. They form a binding agreement between you and Duong Dieu Phap, the author of ImageGlass (the "Author"). Read them before you buy.
ImageGlass is copyright (c) 2010 - 2026 by Duong Dieu Phap. ImageGlass Classic is free software under the GNU General Public License, Version 3 (GPLv3), and nothing in these Terms limits the rights that license already gives you.
In short. ImageGlass Classic stays free under GPLv3. ImageGlass Pro is a paid license, not a sale of the software. A direct purchase of Pro Individual or Pro Team can be refunded within 14 days. Pro Business is a seat-based subscription that renews until cancelled. Microsoft Store purchases are billed and refunded by Microsoft under its own policy. This summary is for orientation only; the numbered sections below are the actual terms.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
- 1.1. You accept these Terms when you tick the acceptance box shown at checkout on this website, before any payment is taken. Acceptance is required for every Pro plan sold here: Pro Individual, Pro Team, and Pro Business.
- 1.2. If you buy ImageGlass Pro through the Microsoft Store, you accept these Terms by completing that purchase or by installing and using the Pro Features of the Microsoft Store release. The Microsoft Store's own terms also apply to that transaction, as described in Section 5.
- 1.3. You also accept these Terms by importing a Pro license file, or by enabling or using the Pro Features by any other means.
- 1.4. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not complete a purchase and do not import a license file. ImageGlass Classic remains available to you free of charge under GPLv3.
- 1.5. You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live with the consent of a parent or guardian, to buy a Pro license.
- 1.6. If you accept on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it, and "you" in these Terms means that entity.
2. Documents That Apply to Your Purchase
Three documents govern a Pro purchase, and they are meant to be read together:
- These Terms, which cover the commercial relationship: ordering, payment, delivery, refunds, renewal, support, and liability.
- The license agreement for your plan, published at Licenses, which covers what you may do with the Pro Features. Pro Individual is licensed under the ImageGlass Pro license; Pro Team and Pro Business are licensed under the ImageGlass Commercial Pro license.
- Your order confirmation, which records the plan, price, seat count, and term you actually bought.
If a conflict arises, the order confirmation controls the specifics of your order, the license agreement controls the scope of use, and these Terms control everything else. A Pro Commercial Source License, where one is agreed, is a separate written agreement that takes precedence over all three for its subject matter.
3. The Editions of ImageGlass
- 3.1. ImageGlass Classic is the free edition, distributed under GPLv3. It may be used personally and commercially under the terms of that license. No purchase, account, or acceptance of these Terms is needed to use it.
- 3.2. ImageGlass Pro is the paid edition. It is the same official build with additional workflow and administration capabilities (the "Pro Features") that unlock when a valid Pro entitlement is present.
- 3.3. Buying Pro is a license to use the Pro Features, not a sale of ImageGlass. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Author.
- 3.4. The ImageGlass source code remains open source under GPLv3, and the ImageGlass SDK is published under the MIT license. Buying Pro does not change, replace, or restrict the rights those licenses grant.
4. The Pro Plans
The plans available on this website, their prices in US dollars, and what each one covers:
| Plan | Price | Covers | Term |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro Individual | $14.90 one-time | One user, personal use | ImageGlass 10.x |
| Pro Team | $69 one-time | Up to 3 named users or 3 managed devices in one team, personal and commercial use | ImageGlass 10.x |
| Pro Business | From $9.99 per seat per month, or from $99 per seat per year | Seat-based commercial use, priority support | While the subscription is active |
| Pro Commercial Source License | Custom price | A non-exclusive MIT source grant for an agreed version | As agreed in writing |
- 4.1. Every Pro plan unlocks the same Pro Feature set. The plans differ in licensing scope, seat count, billing, and support level.
- 4.2. Seats. A seat is one named user or one managed device authorized to use the Pro Features. You are responsible for keeping actual use within the seat count you bought, and for buying additional seats before exceeding it.
- 4.3. Pro Business volume pricing. Per-seat pricing is graduated: the per-seat rate steps down automatically as the seat count grows, and the applicable rate is calculated at checkout. No quote or negotiation is required to receive it.
- 4.4. Pro Commercial Source License. This is not a seat plan. It is a separate, negotiated agreement for permissive source rights to an agreed ImageGlass 10 version, priced per use case and available on request. It does not include future versions, support, patches, or upgrades unless separately agreed, and it never transfers the ImageGlass name, logo, domain, website, repositories, store listings, or project ownership.
- 4.5. Plans, prices, and included features may change for future purchases. A change never alters the terms of an order you have already placed.
5. Buying Through the Microsoft Store
ImageGlass Pro is also sold through the Microsoft Store. That purchase is the Pro Individual plan, bought through a different channel and on different commercial terms. One channel's terms never carry over to the other.
- 5.1. Seller and billing. A Microsoft Store purchase is a transaction between you and Microsoft. Microsoft is the merchant of record, sets the price for your market, collects payment, issues the receipt, and applies its own terms of sale and privacy statement to it.
- 5.2. Price. The price is the one shown on the Microsoft Store listing at the time of purchase. It varies by market and is not the price used on this website.
- 5.3. Unlocking Pro. Pro unlocks on install through the Store entitlement. There is no account, no sign-in, no activation call, and no license file to import. The check runs locally on your device and works with no network connection.
- 5.4. Updates. A Microsoft Store purchase includes free updates to every version published in the Store, future major versions included, on the platform of that Store release. The Microsoft Store release is Windows, so that benefit applies on Windows. It does not extend to purchases made on this website.
- 5.5. Exported license file. The Store package includes one signed license file you can export and import into any other ImageGlass 10.x install, on Windows, macOS, or Linux. That file grants free updates for ImageGlass 10.x only. The free-updates-for-every-version benefit belongs to the Store install itself and does not travel with the exported file.
- 5.6. Support. A Microsoft Store purchase includes standard purchase help, the same level as a direct Pro Individual purchase. Priority support is a Pro Business benefit and is not included. Billing, price, and refund questions go to Microsoft Store support.
- 5.7. Refunds. Refunds for a Microsoft Store purchase are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Store refund policy. The refund terms in Section 11 apply to direct purchases on this website and cannot be applied to a Store transaction.
6. Placing an Order
- 6.1. Product pages and prices on this website are an invitation to buy, not a binding offer. Your order becomes a contract when the payment is confirmed and the order confirmation is issued.
- 6.2. You are responsible for choosing the plan and seat count that match your intended use, and for giving a correct email address. The license is delivered to that address, so a mistyped address delays delivery.
- 6.3. An order may be declined or cancelled where the payment is not authorized, the price or plan detail was published in obvious error, fraud is suspected, or fulfillment would breach applicable law or sanctions. If an order is cancelled after payment, the payment is refunded in full.
- 6.4. Purchases are made in a single transaction. There is no account to create and no credentials to store.
7. Prices, Taxes, and Payment
- 7.1. Currency. Prices on this website are stated in US dollars (USD).
- 7.2. Payment provider. Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by this website. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.
- 7.3. Taxes. Prices are shown excluding tax unless stated otherwise. Any VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar charge that applies in your location is calculated and added at checkout, and appears on your receipt. Any withholding tax imposed on you is your responsibility and does not reduce the amount due.
- 7.4. Receipts and invoices. A receipt is issued for every purchase. If you need an invoice with a company name or tax number, ask through the support page with your order reference.
- 7.5. Bank charges. Currency conversion and any fees your bank or card issuer applies are yours to pay.
- 7.6. Failed payment. For a subscription, a failed renewal payment may be retried. If it cannot be collected, the Pro entitlement may lapse at the end of the paid term, as described in Section 10.
- 7.7. Chargebacks. If you have a problem with an order, raising it through the support page is the fastest route. Opening a chargeback instead of requesting a refund may result in the license being revoked and further sales being declined.
8. Delivery of Your License
- 8.1. ImageGlass Pro is digital content. It is delivered electronically, normally within a few minutes of payment being confirmed, by email to the address given at checkout.
- 8.2. For a direct purchase, delivery is a signed license file you import into ImageGlass once to enable the Pro Features. No installer, disc, or physical item is shipped.
- 8.3. If the email does not arrive, check the spam folder first, then use the license retrieval page or contact support with the purchase email address. Re-issuing a license file is free.
- 8.4. You consent to delivery of the digital content immediately after purchase. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer, you acknowledge that this right is lost once delivery begins. The voluntary refund policy in Section 11 applies regardless and is more generous in most cases.
- 8.5. Keep your license file. It is your proof of purchase and the thing that enables Pro on a new install.
9. What Your Purchase Grants
- 9.1. A Pro purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to enable and use the Pro Features of the official ImageGlass build, within the plan, seat count, term, and version scope you bought. The full grant and its restrictions are set out in the license agreement for your plan at Licenses.
- 9.2. Trust-based licensing. ImageGlass Pro uses trust-based licensing. There is no mandatory account, no device lock, no online activation server, and no intrusive DRM. Using Pro never requires you to sign in or stay connected.
- 9.3. Local integrity check. The official build verifies the license file's signature locally to confirm the file is intact and to read your plan details. This is an integrity check that guards against accidental corruption and casual editing. It is not anti-piracy enforcement and sends nothing anywhere.
- 9.4. Graceful behavior. ImageGlass never holds your images hostage to licensing. If a license file is missing, invalid, or expired, the app keeps running as Classic with your images fully accessible; only the Pro Features stay off.
- 9.5. Privacy of the license file. The license file records what is needed to display and support your license, such as your name, plan, and purchase reference. It contains no hardware fingerprint, no file names, no file paths, and no tracking identifier.
- 9.6. Support, invoices, and formal customer status stay tied to the purchase record, not to whoever happens to hold a copy of the file.
10. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation
This section applies to Pro Business, the only subscription plan.
- 10.1. Automatic renewal. A Pro Business subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing term, monthly or annual as chosen at checkout, at the rate then applicable to your seat count, until it is cancelled. Each renewal payment issues a refreshed license file, sent to the email address on your order. Import it to keep the Pro Features enabled for the new term.
- 10.2. Cancelling. You may cancel at any time by contacting support from the email address used for the order, quoting your order reference or license ID. Cancellation is confirmed by email and takes effect at the end of the current paid term, so Pro stays enabled for the time you have already paid for.
- 10.3. After the term ends. Every license file is issued with a grace period of 14 days beyond the end of the paid term, so a renewal never interrupts your access while the refreshed file reaches you. Once that window closes without a renewal, the Pro Features are disabled. Classic functionality remains fully available throughout, your images are never locked, and renewing restores Pro.
- 10.4. Changing seats. Seat count is chosen at checkout. To add or remove seats afterwards, contact support with your order reference and the new seat count. Added seats are billed at the graduated rate for the new total, prorated for the remainder of the current term, and a replacement license file recording the new seat count is issued. Reductions take effect from the next billing term.
- 10.5. Price changes. A change to subscription pricing takes effect from your next renewal, and reasonable advance notice is given by email before it applies.
11. Refunds
This section applies to purchases made directly on this website. Microsoft Store purchases are refunded by Microsoft under its own policy, as stated in Section 5.
- 11.1. The 14-day window. Pro Individual and Pro Team purchases can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. No justification is required, though a note about what did not work is always welcome and helps improve the product.
- 11.2. How to request one. Send a request through the support page from the email address used for the purchase, with the order reference or license ID. Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
- 11.3. Pro Business subscriptions. Cancel at any time to stop future billing. A refund of the current term is considered case by case for prepaid time that has not been used, at the Author's discretion. Time already used is not refunded.
- 11.4. Pro Commercial Source License. Non-refundable once the agreed source package has been delivered, unless the separate written agreement says otherwise.
- 11.5. After a refund. The license is revoked when a refund is issued. You must stop using the Pro Features and delete the license file. ImageGlass Classic stays available to you under GPLv3, with no time limit and no conditions.
- 11.6. Statutory rights. If you buy as a consumer, nothing in this section reduces any refund or cancellation right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country. Where such a right gives you more than this policy does, that right applies.
- 11.7. Repeated refunds. Refunds are offered in good faith. Repeated purchase-and-refund cycles, or a refund request made after the license has been shared beyond the plan's scope, may be declined.
12. Updates and Version Scope
- 12.1. A one-time Pro Individual or Pro Team purchase made on this website covers the ImageGlass 10.x release line. Every 10.x update within that line is included at no extra cost.
- 12.2. A future major version outside the 10.x line is not included and may require a new purchase. Any upgrade path or discount offered at that time is announced separately.
- 12.3. An active Pro Business subscription covers any newer ImageGlass version released while the subscription is active.
- 12.4. Microsoft Store purchases follow Section 5: free updates to every version published in the Store on Windows, while the exported license file covers ImageGlass 10.x on any platform.
- 12.5. Features may be added, changed, or removed between releases as the product develops. The Pro Features described at the time of your purchase are what your purchase is based on; no specific future feature is promised or guaranteed.
13. Support
- 13.1. Support levels by plan:
| Plan | Support included |
|---|---|
| Classic | Community channels and the public issue tracker |
| Pro Individual, including Microsoft Store | Standard purchase help |
| Pro Team | Standard purchase help |
| Pro Business | Priority support while the subscription is active |
| Pro Commercial Source License | None by default; available if separately purchased |
- 13.2. Support is delivered by email through the support page, in English, during normal working hours. ImageGlass is a solo project, so response times are targets rather than a guaranteed service level, and no remedy attaches to a missed target.
- 13.3. Support covers license delivery and import, purchase lookup, plan and billing questions, Pro feature questions, and bug reports.
- 13.4. Support does not cover custom development, private feature work, third-party plugin debugging, deployment automation, operating system repair, image or data recovery, or legal and tax advice. Those can be quoted separately where they are feasible.
- 13.5. Confirmed bugs are prioritized by severity and impact, with security and data-loss issues first. Paid support does not guarantee that any particular change will be made.
- 13.6. Support eligibility is checked against the purchase record, not solely against possession of a license file.
14. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- 14.1. Use the Pro Features beyond the seat count, user scope, or term of the plan you bought, or use a personal-use plan for commercial purposes.
- 14.2. Sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, redistribute, or publish your license file, or transfer it to anyone outside the scope of your plan.
- 14.3. Alter a license file, forge one, or work around the entitlement check in order to enable the Pro Features without a valid purchase.
- 14.4. Represent any person, device, or organization outside your plan as being entitled to Pro.
- 14.5. Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, licensing, or attribution notice.
- 14.6. Use ImageGlass or this website in a way that breaks applicable law, infringes someone's rights, or interferes with the operation or security of the website.
Nothing in this section limits what GPLv3 already permits you to do with the ImageGlass source code.
15. Plugins, Themes, and Other Add-Ons
ImageGlass supports plugins, themes, language packs, and other extensions, many of them built by the open-source community and distributed by their own authors under their own licenses. Those add-ons are not part of the Pro purchase, are not warranted or supported by the Author, and are used at your own risk. Nothing on this website should be read as an endorsement of a third-party add-on.
16. Intellectual Property and Trademarks
- 16.1. ImageGlass, the Pro Features, this website, and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Rights not granted by GPLv3, by the MIT license covering the SDK, or by your Pro license agreement are reserved.
- 16.2. The ImageGlass name and logo are trademarks of Duong Dieu Phap. No Pro plan grants any right to use them. Written permission is required before using the ImageGlass name or logo in distributed works.
- 16.3. No purchase transfers ownership of ImageGlass, its brand, domain, website, repositories, or store listings.
17. Use of This Website
- 17.1. This website is provided for information, downloads, purchases, and support. Reasonable effort goes into keeping it accurate and available, but it is offered without any guarantee of availability or of being error free.
- 17.2. Downloads offered here are the official builds. Copies obtained from other sources are outside the Author's control and cannot be vouched for.
- 17.3. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. Their content and practices are their own responsibility.
- 17.4. Sponsor and advertising slots on this site are supplied by third-party networks. Their presence is not an endorsement.
18. Privacy
Personal information related to a purchase, the app's anonymous update check, and website analytics is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. ImageGlass Pro requires no account and sends no telemetry about your images, files, or activity.
19. Disclaimer of Warranty
ImageGlass, ImageGlass Pro, and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. There is no warranty that the software will be uninterrupted, error free, free of harmful components, or that any defect will be corrected. The entire risk as to quality and performance is with you.
If you buy as a consumer, this section does not exclude any warranty or guarantee that the mandatory law of your country gives you and does not allow to be excluded.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Author is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, images, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising out of or connected with the use of or inability to use ImageGlass or this website, even if the possibility of such damages was known.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the amount you actually paid for the applicable plan in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Suspension and Termination
- 21.1. Your Pro entitlement ends if you materially breach these Terms or your plan's license agreement, if a refund or chargeback reverses your payment, or, for a subscription, when the paid term ends without renewal.
- 21.2. On termination you must stop using the Pro Features and delete any license file you hold.
- 21.3. Termination never affects your right to keep using ImageGlass Classic under GPLv3, and never removes your access to your own images.
- 21.4. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so, including Sections 16, 19, 20, 24, and 25.
22. Export Controls and Sanctions
You confirm that you are not located in, and are not ordering on behalf of anyone located in, a country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, and that you are not on any applicable restricted-party list. Orders that cannot lawfully be fulfilled are cancelled and refunded.
23. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as the product and the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. A change applies to purchases and renewals made after it takes effect; the version you accepted continues to govern the order you already placed. Continued use of this website after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
24. Governing Law and Disputes
- 24.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, where the Author is based and where ImageGlass Pro is sold from, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
- 24.2. If you buy as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you it.
- 24.3. Before starting formal proceedings, please raise the issue through the support page. Most problems are resolved faster that way.
25. General Provisions
- 25.1. Entire agreement. These Terms, the license agreement for your plan, and your order confirmation are the entire agreement about your purchase, and replace any earlier understanding on the subject.
- 25.2. Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest stays in force.
- 25.3. No waiver. Not enforcing a right on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
- 25.4. Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or transfer a license without written permission. The Author may assign them as part of a transfer of the ImageGlass project, with your rights preserved.
- 25.5. Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control.
- 25.6. Notices. Notices to you are sent to the email address on your order. Notices to the Author go through the support page.
- 25.7. No third-party rights. No one other than you and the Author has the right to enforce these Terms.
- 25.8. Language. These Terms are written in English, and the English text governs any translation.
26. Contact
